Architects need to know their market, says BD manager

The business development manager of UAE-based X-Architects believes that most companies need a better understanding of their target market.

Speaking to Middle East Architect, Nigel Eckersall, said: “I believe that the downfall of most companies is that they are not selective and do not know their market, and instead embark on mass marketing and mass road-shows to exhibit their company’s strengths.

“This approach can end up offending clients and ultimately will close a client’s openness to your company.”

When asked for five tips to secure a client relationship, Ekersall added: “Know your products’ strengths and weaknesses; make sure your message is clear; know your market; hone your approach; and be selective.”
