Dubai designer visualises hotel hanging from mountain

A hotel which literally hangs from the side of a mountain is the latest concept from Dubai-based designer Andrii Rozhko.

Hotel in Alps is wedged into a huge crevasse in the side of a cliff, hanging over the edge.

Its face consists of glass panels that jut out and meet at sharp, irregular angles, mimicking the rugged landscape of the mountainside around it.

Rozhko said: “I like the connection between high peaks and mountain passes so I tried to design the same shape.”

Though the design is merely a concept for now  and no precise location has been proposed, the only route to and from it will be by helicopter.
