Century Properties to design first residential building by MissoniHome

ASIA: Century Properties Group real estate, based in the Philippines, has partnered with MissoniHome to decorate its Acqua Private Residences in Manila.

This is Century Properties’ second fashion-branded condominium project in the country. Its first collaboration was with Versace Home for The Milano Residences, with over 80% of the units sold.

The interiors will be featured in a 52-storey building called Acqua Livingstone, the fourth of six condominium towers in the US$315.9m Acqua Private Residences project.

“MissoniHome is known for creating its own style that reflects a celebration of life,” said Vittorio Missoni, marketing director and shareholder Missoni S.p.A.

“Our brand is an experience of happiness, excitement, beauty, creativity, style and elegance. “We are inspired by the four seasons of nature and we play with colour because life is more beautiful with colour.”

The Acqua Livingstone tower will immerse residents in the rich and colourful experience of a MissoniHome designed space, which is not available anywhere else except in the Missoni-branded hotels in Edinburgh and Kuwait.

Marco Antonio, project head and managing director, Century Properties Group, said the tower will be made up of bold colours and energetic forms in the lobbies, hallways and lifts, accentuated by equally arresting furniture.

The multi-level amenity area called The Canopy, located at the building’s skydeck, serves as the pinnacle of the design imprint.

“We are extremely proud and honoured to be working with the Missoni family for Acqua Livingstone. Both companies are rooted in the same foundations of a rich history, with a respect for family values and a culture of passion, creativity, quality and authenticity,” said Antonio.

The Canopy’s lower level will house functions rooms, a business centre, indoor and outdoor gym, jacuzzi, library and spa.

The upper level is an entertainment area with an amphitheatre, lounge, DJ booth and dance floor and pool. Tying these two levels together is an organic wire-mesh tree that winds its way up and connects to the mezzanine floor, where residents can visit the open-air dining area.

Acqua Livingstone will have 645 units, which range from 27m2 to 140m2 and come in one to three bedrooms. There will also be a private collection of units called Acqua Privé which includes a Townhouse, Sky Garden, Private Garden, and Penthouse units.

Aside from the amenities in the tower, is a tropical rainforest-infused design of the entire masterplanned development.

Missoni was founded in 1953 as a knitwear label in Italy by Ottavio and Rosita Missoni. It is widely recognised for its creative use of patterns and prints.

In 1996, Rosita Missoni passed on the fashion reins to her daughter, Angela, and focused on designing for MissoniHome, an extension of the Missoni aesthetic in furniture, home accessories, and interior design.

Produced and distributed by textile manufacturer T&J Vestor, the MissoniHome line was added to the company’s product range in 1983.
