World’s biggest Saint Laurent store in Dubai pays homage to French Modernist movement

One to break its own records, Dubai has done it again with the opening of the world’s biggest Saint Laurent boutique in Dubai Mall’s new Fashion Avenue extension, entirely dedicated to luxury brands.

Spread across three floors, the Saint Laurent store presents the brand’s latest interior design, giving a nod to its luxurious and timeless design ethos.

The palette is unambiguously luxurious, and includes a number of marble varieties such as white Carrara marble, black silk marble, and grey silver marble, as well as nickel-plated brass, glass and leather.

The overall visual presentation takes its cues from the French modernist movement of the early 20th century, but the store’s large architectural dimensions and luxe materials counterbalance minimalist and bare feel.

Not surprisingly, glamour is an integral part of the store. Two elevators in glass and mirrors allow easy access to all floors. There is also a VIP room featuring vintage pieces, which further up the exclusive quotient of the boutique.
