The HI-MACS stand at this year’s 100% Design show at Earls Court, London will exhibit eight finalist’s designs from its competition that focused on creating imaginative, innovative and practical urban furniture.
The stand design’s concept has been developed by global studio Woods Bagot.
The competition of this year allowed designers to use the acrylic stone product – using its durability, formability and ease of visibly seamless joining to create any three-dimensional shape.
The competition attracted over 500 entries in two categories – Professional and Student – and the finalists eight entries (four from each category) will be created by Global Vacuum Presses and displayed at 100% Design.
The winner from each category will be selected by a jury of renowned designers and architects and announced at a dedicated ceremony during the show, between September 22-25, 2011 at Earl’s Court, London.
