Ten students were selected as part of the finalists of Dubai-based LA CASA Architects’ student design competition to create a school that will eventually get built in Ramallah, Palestine.
“The designs were chosen based on potential,” explained Ayman Jaber, director of brand and marketing at the firm. “The judges chose the most promising concept that displayed a clear understanding of the brief, constructible design, and creative thinking. The judges also took into account how these concept approaches could be further developed in the next stage.”
The judges included Nick Ames, editor of Middle East Architect, Oliver Ephgrave, Architecture & Design editor, Maram Sherif and Atef Khedhir, senior concept architects at LACASA, as well as Ayman Jaber, brand & marketing communications manager at LACASA.
