Bluehaus creates biophilia-inspired Jetex VIP lounge for Al Maktoum Airport in Dubai

Dubai-based Bluehaus Group has created biophilia-inspired VIP lounge for aviation company Jetex’s clients and crew in the newly opened Al Maktoum Airport in Dubai.

The concept is inspired by the theory of biophilic design, resulting in a mixture of organic, free-standing structures.

Featuring soft shadows, dimmed lighting and raw natural materials, the holistic approach to design aims to create a space that establishes a sense of tranquility, while instigating a feeling of excitement and exploration.

Keeping with the natural theme, the selection of furniture echoes pebble forms found in nature with colours that highlight a natural stone finish. The lounge also incorporates greenery and natural wood as well as soft padded curved walls.

Jetex VIP lounge has been shortlisted in this year’s CID Awards for the Public Sector category.
