Italian design and engineering firm Pininfarina, best known for its mastery behind firms such as Ferrari and Maserati, has now diversified its design capabilities to include contemporary furniture, architecture and interiors.
With the growth of the design market in the Middle East, Pininfarina Extra has begun to steer its efforts into creating contemporary architecture and design in the region, officially launching its services in the GCC at the beginning of this year.
The firm already has a number of buildings under its belt including the full interior design of the new Juventus Stadium, a residential tower and an apart-hotel in Miami as well as luxury condominium called ‘Ferra’ in Singapore.
Forthcoming developments include skyscrapers in Sao Paulo, boating centres in Argentina and offices complexes with Hines and private villas around the world.
Pininfarina was also involved in the Expo Milan 2015, having designed the Terrazza Martini as part of the Italian pavilion, offering 400m2 of space using 100% Italian produced materials.
