In pictures: 3D printed façade for EU building by DUS Architects

DUS Architects, initiator of the canal house project in Amsterdam, has designed a 3D printed facade for the mobile “Europe Building”, marking the half-year EU presidency of the Netherlands as of January 2016.

The Europe Building is the heart of the Dutch EU presidency and is expected to house over 17.500 politicians who will meet there over the next six months.

The facade elements are parametrically designed and made from a special bioplastic that can be recycled after use.

At night, the sails and benches are lit with gradually pulsing lights.
