In pictures: Khalifa University’s new extension by RSP

RSP has recently completed the multi-structure extension of Abu Dhabi’s Khalifa University, which features a double-skin facade, atriums and break out spaces.

Inspired by student energy, the extension’s design reflects the centre’s vision forward and consists of four educational buildings that incorporate medical and engineering facilities, classrooms, a student hub, sports amenities, library, lecture hall and auditorium. The extension also boasts a six-level car park that stretches across the backside.

DesignMENA recently reported on the architecture of the university, and below are more photos of the newly designed institution, courtesy of Abu Dhabi-based photographer Grace Guino.
