Saigon House by a21studio preserves objects from southern Vietnam

Saigon House, a four-storey property is  designed by Vietnamese office a21 studio.

The house is inspired by Van Duong Phu, a typical Southern Vietnamese house, built by Vuong Hong Sen. Sen was a cultural authority, an academic, and a famous collector of antiques. He was considered deeply knowledgeable of southern Vietnamese culture and greatly respected in the field of history and archeology.

Before his death, Sen donated his house and entire antiquity collection with the hope of building a museum in his name and preserving the objects.
