Cone iPhone app can identify Pantone colours from the real world

Cone is a new colour picker app that was recently developed by Kushagra Agarwal. What makes it different from similar colour recognising apps is that this version includes one of the most requested features by many designers — it can actually identify Pantone colours in real time.

Cone starts previewing Pantone colours via phone’s camera in real time as soon as the app is launched. It also features a “freeze frame”, which instantly captures the image, allowing users to pick colours in their own time.

The app also has an option of copying and pasting of colour codes as well as creating different palettes for every saved colour.

Cone takes up 30.5MB of phone’s storage and is available on iTunes for $1.99.
