Meet the CID Awards Gold sponsor: Zip Water

In 1970, Zip Industries, a privately owned Australian business, installed the world’s first boiling water faucet that provided instant boiling water from an under-sink pressurised cylinder. Headquartered in Sydney and with distributors worldwide, Zip set up its operations in the Middle East two years ago.

Zip Water returns for the third year as Gold sponsor of the CID Awards.

“As the market leading boiling, chilled and sparkling tap manufacturer, it is important to us to show our appreciation and commitment to the design industry,” says Gizem Imer, regional sales manager Middle East. “The CID Awards also gives us a great platform from which to showcase what Zip has to offer with the HydroTap and its world-beating technology.”

Imer says that in recent years sustainability has become more of contributing factor in purchase decisions with consumers becoming more conscious of environmental change.

“The demand for technological advances yet sustainable products mean that continual innovation within the design industry is key,” she says.

Zip Water has just launched the HydroTap Platinum range in the region, which features eight new on-trend colours, to suit any kitchen style – from traditional to contemporary.

“The HydroTap design range will now be available in premium finishes including rose gold, brushed rose gold, gold, brushed gold, platinum, gunmetal, brushed nickel and nickel.

“These stylish finishes are combined with the HydroTap’s latest technologies, which include the MicroPurity filtration system, ensuring that water is as delicious as it is healthy,” explains Imer. “We’re extremely proud to be bringing such an exciting product to the region, both from a style and a technology perspective, and it’s a product we are certain the region will respond well to.”

The Zip HydroTap Platinum Design Range also meets the highest standards of environmental responsibility. With advanced energy efficiency and cooling technology, the air-cooled ventilation system uses up to 53% less energy than previous models so water is never wasted.

Imer comments: “As is always the case at the CID Awards in each of the categories there are some serious contenders up for nomination. All of the nominees demonstrate innovative and inspired thinking; the judges are going to have a tough time deciding who is deserving of the accolade. Best of luck to everyone.”
