Meet the CID Awards Silver sponsors: ISG and Bond Interiors

Construction services company ISG Middle East has been supportive of the CID Awards since its establishment, joining us this year as a Silver sponsor.

“We have recognised early on that the awards are a great celebration of the growing design community in the UAE,” says Steve Ramsden, ISG Middle East’s MD. “In 2017, we decided to take a step further in supporting the awards by becoming sponsors, because it has become one of the most prestigious industry events, bringing together designers, consultants, contractors and suppliers from across the region, to recognise the best local talent and most innovative projects.”

Ramsden thinks that the decline in oil prices and reduced public spending in the UAE and the GCC remain key challenges facing many industries.

“Tightened budgets also mean slimmer margins for both designers and fit-out contractors and that is also a big challenge.

“For local designers and architects, they need to specialise and collaborate to constantly improve the quality of services they offer clients, who are increasingly demanding and expect a great deal of creativity and innovation, as well as an exceptional level of service,” he says.

ISG is currently working on a four-star hotel refurbishment in Barsha Heights while its most significant projects in 2017 include the Honeywell Dubai offices, Ford Middle East & Africa headquarters and several healthcare clinics for Majid Al Futtaim. In the hospitality and leisure sector, it delivered Roxy Cinemas at City Walk, Aji, the Peruvian-Japanese restaurant on The Palm, and Zahira, the recently opened Arabic restaurant at the H Hotel.
