Zumtobel wins two Red Dot Awards

Two Zumtobel products; the Iyon LED spotlight system and the Tecton LED continuous-row lighting system have won a Red Dot Award for Product Design 2012.

The Iyon spotlight range incorporates LED technology in a sophisticated design by Delugan Meissl Associated Architects. Its flowing lines give the spotlight an elegant look while ensuring functionality. The lens-reflector system provides lighting with a variety of beam angles.

Zumtobel’s Tecton continuous-row lighting system makes it easy for architects, designers and electricians to fulfill lighting tasks using one consistent system. The pre-wired 11-pole continuous-row system allows for integration of LED components allowing the system flexibility.

The Red Dot design award is one of the most renowned design prizes worldwide.

This year 1,800 manufacturers and designers from 58 countries submitted 4,515 products to compete for the title.

The awards will be handed over and celebrated at a gala ceremony at the Aalto Theatre in Essen on July 2, 2012.
