US$2.5bn waterfront scheme Bahrain Bay has appointed a new CEO, Robert Lee, to lead the project through its upcoming delivery.
Since arriving in the Gulf in early 2000, Lee has held senior executive positions at Emaar, Al Futtaim, and Nakheel, working on other waterfront scheme such as Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah.
Deputy CEO Abdulla Al Doseri commented: “With four third party developers already on site, and more due in 2012, Mr Lee’s expertise will be invaluable to the ongoing success of the development.”
Lee replaces former Bahrain Bay CEO Bob Vincent, will now work with Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay.
With a masterplan created by New York-based Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Bahrain Bay features residential, commercial, retail, tourism, and community facilities and public amenities.
Launched in 2006, it contains three anchor developments – Four Seasons Bahrain, Arcapita Headquarters, and Raffles City Bahrain.
It is to be delivered in stages with initial phases to start being completed from 2012.
