UAE: Luxury bathroom fittings specialist, Hansgrohe, has launched a custom design service for its high-end Axor range. The new Axor Manufaktur service allows consumers, designers and architects to add personalised finishing touches to fittings, creating their ultimate dream bathrooms.
“It gives designers and consumers more scope to become involved in the final look and feel of the bathroom, giving them control over the design and production of products,” said Dirk Schilmoeller, sales director Middle East, Hansgrohe.
“With strong, lavish and one of the world’s fastest growing hospitality and hotel markets, we expect the service to be extremely popular in the region,” Schilmoeller added.
The service is available for various ranges including the Axor Starck Organic, Axor Citterio, Axor Urquiola, Axor Montreux and Axor Carlton, offering specialised mixers augmented with optic gold, brushed gold, brushed nickel, brushed chrome, as well as other refined finishings.
Along with these finishings, the service offers length modifications as well as logo and brand name embellishments.
“The trend toward individualisation is immensely strong in the Middle East region,” said Schilmoeller. “With the innovative Axor Manufaktur service, Hansgrohe is bringing this trend to life in the bathroom.
“Combined with this,” Schilmoeller added, “the experts at Axor Manufaktur are also able to bring architectural and interior design visions to life on large scale projects, producing quantities of customised products for tourism, hospitality, or luxury real estate developments.”
In addition to customising products for large scale projects, the service can also help contribute to the highest achievable LEED certification alongside meeting other environmental standards through its low faucet water dimmers that reduce water consumption.
“Using physical vapour disposition technology, products are made strong, scratch resistant and more impervious to cleaners to ensure withstanding quality,” Schilmoeller explained.
Since the launch of its new design service, Schilmoeller said the feedback has been very positive, with a number of prestigious global hotel brands using it to apply special marking and surface colours. Examples include the Four Seasons Hotel in Milan, which installed Axor products in brushed gold in its spa area, and the Shangri-La Hotel in the The Shard, London, which used specified markings and limited flow rates for the Axor Uriquiola range.
“The Axor Manufaktur service was even able to produce a special pink finish for one individual customer in Britain,” he added.
The Axor brand brings forth collaborations with the greatest designers and architects of our time including Phillipe Starck, Jean-Marie Massaud, and Patricia Urquiola, using each one’s style to reflect an eclectic range of bathroom designs, from nature-inspired to bright and fun spaces.
