Will Alsop leaves RMJM to set up new studio

Celebrity UK architect Will Alsop has announced that he leaving international architecture firm RMJM to set up a new practice.

The new company, established with fellow RMJM principal Scott Lawrie, will employ a number of other staff who worked at Alsop’s division within the firm.

Services provided by the new company will include architecture, masterplanning, interiors, landscape, product and graphic design.

Alsop is known for his controversial avant-garde designs that divide opinions. In 2000 he won a Stirling Prize for the design of Peckham Library, London.

In 2009 he joined RMJM’s London headquarters as international principal.
