Aquatic centre by ZHA to open in March

The London Aquatics Centre designed by Zaha Hadid Architects for the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics will open to the public on 1 March 2014.

The centre will offer swimming and diving services as well as water polo, synchronised swimming, and many more practices.

The slight makeover displays glazing on both sides, which replaces the temporary stands that were used in the 2012 championship games.

While open for public use, the centre will continue to host professional sporting events like the FINA/NVC 2014 World Diving Series and the 2016 European Swimming Championships.
