Architects RMJM and engineers Tumas are going into business together.

 Dubai-based firm RMJM, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Turkish based Tumas,  to jointly pursue major projects throughout Turkey, the Middle East and Europe. 

 RMJM has been active in Turkey for over 15 years, and has had an office in Istanbul since 2009.

 Projects include the Metropol Istanbul, a mixed use project that includes a 300m tall tower, retail and office space in the Atasehir central business district.

 Established in 1969 Tümaş undertakes engineering, infrastructure design and consultancy services in the industrial, healthcare, education, military, marine and housing sectors

 Clients include the  Turkish Government and  organisations including the, Saudi Fund for Development the Islamic Development Fund and the European Union.

 The MOU was signed at an event at the British Embassy in Turkey. 

 Harry Downie chief executive of RMJM International said: “RMJM’s designs are already transforming the Atashehir district in Istanbul and this new relationship will herald a new era in RMJM’s involvement in Turkey.

 “The Turkish economy is particularly strong and Turkish influence and expertise is spreading throughout the region.  We look ahead with great optimism and confidence.”
