Work on a $23.7mn (BHD 9mn) residential project at Bahrain’s Durrat Marina is expected to be complete by the end of 2015, according to its developer Master Group.

With first phase infrastructure work at the Marina Breeze 1 and 2 project 90% complete, the second phase of construction was officially launched at Al Riffa Ballroom, InterContinental Regency Bahrain, on Sunday (4 May).

Master Group chairman Antony John told Gulf Daily News: “We are currently working on the first phase and are expecting to complete work on the second phase within 20 months, but from the way we do things, we tend to finish months before time,” he said.

“Things are not rushed and we produce the best quality projects, something that has got us the ISO certificate.

“We are not selling property without coming up with infrastructure and work on roads, electricity and sewage is 10% away from completion and this shows that people moving to the place wouldn’t wait.”

John added that the project includes gents and ladies gyms, a large swimming pool, and a barbeque area, as well as other facilities that are open to residents.
