Baker opens Paris showroom.

Baker home furnishings which has distributors; Oriental Furniture, Bahrain; Living In Interiors, Qatar; Pro-Design Group, Kuwait; and The Classics, KSA, has opened a showroom in Paris.

The venue in rue du Faubourg St. Honoré is open to the trade only and offers designs by its sister company, McGuire, and has an assortment of couture-level accent lines.

Virtually all of Baker’s collections are represented within its 2,400-square-feet showroom which is decorated in French limestone floors are complemented by walls in shades of cream and grey.

“We believe in the relationship between the maker and the ultimate owner of fine furniture,” said Brett Beadleson, VP sales, Baker Knapp & Tubbs.

“Each of our associates makes a commitment to not only knowing about furniture but also the expertise to make every client’s product choices reflect an extension of their lives and lifestyles.”

Baker has stood out as furniture designers and manufacturers for more than a century. Its guest designer collaborations include André Arbus, Tony Duquette, Barbara Barry, Bill Sofield, Jacques Garcia, Thomas Pheasant and Laura Kirar.

The latest partnership is with Barbara Barry, who made her international debut in autumn 2011. There are also plans to unveil new products to its collection with designs by Thomas Pheasant in summer 2012.

McGuire is known for creating indoor and outdoor furniture of rattan, solid teak, bamboo, laced rawhide, aluminum and other premium materials. Its furniture is found in living and dining rooms, corporate board rooms, five-star resorts and hotels, restaurants, yachts and private clubs.
