Barr + Wray has secured contracts on three landmark buildings in the UAE.
The company, which supplies spas, swimming pools and water treatment services has been appointed to carry out work at the Burj Khalifa Tower, Capital Gate and the Burj Al Arab.
It launched its first overseas office in Dubai three years ago and clients include the Jumeirah Group, Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, and Ritz Carlton.
“All three of these buildings are world-famous structures and they provide ideal showcases for our work,” said Peter Rietveld, MD, Barr + Wray regional division.
“Barr + Wray already has an established base here in Dubai and we are confident the company’s involvement in these projects will lead to new opportunities as we continue to strengthen our profile in the Middle East.”
The first project at the Burj Khalifa Tower includes a three-storey gym and spa which will be entirely re-fitted as well as work commencing on the wet area design and assisting with mechanical and electrical plumbing.
Nicknamed The Leaning Tower of Abu Dhabi, Capital Gate tilts west at 18 degrees. The top 18 floors are occupied by the five star Hyatt Capital Gate Hotel where Barr + Wray will install both male and female steam rooms featuring glass mosaic tiles and starry sky spot lighting.
Burj Al Arab, a seven star hotel in Dubai, recently asked the company to install new saunas for both male and female guests.
