BDP has announced three project wins in China – a retail and leisure project in Shanghai, a university in Suzhou and a business centre in Nanjing.
The project wins were announced at the UK Trade & Investment Infrastructure Summit in London, the opening event of the British Business Embassy.
The Shanghai project sits within the Bund Historical and Cultural Conservation Zone, and features clusters of historic buildings which will be renovated to include high-end retail, food and beverage, leisure, a luxury club and a boutique hotel.
Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University, Suzhou, (pictured) is a partnership between the University of Liverpool and Xi’an Jiaotong University.
BDP will masterplan a large-scale campus to provide teaching, laboratory and research facilities, and design the humanity building, science building and training centre, and international exchange centre.
The third project is the 32,000m2 Artall Tiancheng Business Centre in Nanjing.
It will maximise public spaces, link existing buildings with covered walkways and create a 26-floor tower with office space and an art gallery.
