Bjarke Ingels featured in newly launched Netflix series about design

Netflix has launched a new design documentary series called Abstract: The Art of Design, which is now available for viewing.

The documentary will feature the likes of Bjarke Ingels, Es Devlin, Ilse Crawford and others. It profiles eight designers from various fields of the design industry.

Alongside the above-mentioned representing the architecture field, it will also include graphic designer Paula Scher; automobile designer Ralph Gilles; Nike shoe designer Tinker Hatfiled; illustrator Christoph Niemann and photographer Platon.

The series is exclusive to Netflix, releasing eight collective episodes, which were launched this weekend, 10 February.

The episode featuring Ingels was filmed in the lead up to the installation of his Serpentine Pavilion, where the architect discusses how his firm BIG has changed the perception of architecture.
