Blanchard interior design will celebrate its fifth anniversary in UAE by launching a collection of limited edition mirrors at Index.
The mirrors are designed by Marie-Noelle Swiderski, managing director and Mehmet Aktash, business development/project coordinator, Blanchard.
The company will also provide an insight into applications of a sustainable design ethos at ‘Chic Green’, from 11-7pm, at Rashid Hall, DWTC, October 22-25.
“It is important that green design become an integral part of everyone’s creative and constructive thinking process – both professionals and private individuals have to do their part,” said Swiderski.
“Green is rarely seen as sexy, appealing, glamorous. We hope to show there is a way of addressing green issues with elegant solutions and with the help of clever sourcing, something that a good designer can facilitate.”
The London interior design studio established in 1992 and opened a Dubai office in September 2006.
A member of the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) and, locally, of the Association of Professional Interior Design (APID), Swiderski won a high commendation at the CID Awards in 2010 in the Interior Designer of the Year category and Blanchard won a high commendation for Residential Interior of the Year.
The studio is launching its newly designed website in the coming weeks.
