British architect Will Alsop dies at age 70

British architect Will Alsop, one of the most recognised names in the industry, has passed away after a brief illness at the age of 70. Alsop, who won the Stirling Prize for his work on the Peckham Library in 2000, was known for his distinctive and colourful work.

The Ontario College of Art and Design (above) completed in 2004, was one of his most iconic buildings.
