A spate of project wins in Turkey, including a 572m-high tower, has prompted architecture and urbanism firm Broadway Malyan to open an office in Istanbul.
The new office, led by director Peter Vaughan, will also deliver mixed-use schemes in Seyrantepe, Beylikduzu and Florya.
Managing director Gary Whittle said: “The new office will further enhance our global reach and result in a network of 15 bases from São Paulo to Shanghai.”
Elsewhere in the Middle East, the practice has recently delivered the concept masterplan for the ‘10×10’ project in Iraq, involving a 17km² extension of Sadr City, Baghdad, and the creation of New Sadr City.
The scheme is named after its predicted $10 billion dollar value and ten-year delivery timeframe.
