Contemporary art space opens in Saudi Arabia

A new art space called Alaan Artspace has opened in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia by artist Neama Alsudairy and Mohammed Alsudairy.

Alaan Artspace is a contemporary-styled multifunctional space including a gallery, an educational hub, a library, a restaurant as well as shop and coffeehouse.

It also offers a non- profit educational forum for artists, creative practitioners and art enthusiast.

The space also contains Alaan Majlis, a meeting point complete with a café, library and shop. The Alaan Majlis is inspired by Al Majlis Al Adabiya, a traditional Arabic coffeehouse art saloon.

Alaan Artspace aims to collaborate with regional and international galleries, museums and publications to generate innovative projects.
