Damac Properties has announced that it has launched a new 28m ft2 master development off Umm Suqueim Road in Dubai, known as ‘Akoya by Damac’.
The project will include an 18-hole PGA Championship golf course, a spa, boutique hotels and international schools covering all ages. It will be built at Dubai Properties Group’s Dubailand project.
The community project will also contain retail and leisure space, a sports complex and extensive landscaping.
Damac said the project “will be the largest by size and scale’ that the company has launched to date, which it said was a further sign of the upturn of Dubai’s property market. The Akoya name is derived from a rare pearl.
Damac Properties chairman Hussein Sajwani said: “The development will bring a blend of high-end, five-star living, with unrivalled facilities and create a haven for families looking to make Dubai their home.”
The firm added that it had already completed the purchase of Dubailand plots and all of the necessary paperwork.
Sajwani added: “We are in advanced discussions with a number of leading global brands to make ‘Akoya by Damac’ the most sought-after area in Dubai.”
