Danish architecture firm sets up shop in Shanghai

Danish firm schmidt hammer lassen architects has expanded its growing presence in Asia with the opening of a new office in Shanghai.

The company, which is preparing to celebrate its 25th anniversary,  now has 10 built projects in mainland China, ranging from cultural buildings and housing to large sustainable master plans.

Bente Damgaard, CEO of schmidt hammer lassen architects, commented:  “Following a decade of success, we strengthen our presence in the Asia region by opening this new office.”

She added: “We experience a greater demand for high profile design and sustainable architecture, and we look forward to increasing the people-to-people contacts and the cultural exchange.”
