A major new residential project for the Al Furjan area of Dubai has been announced by property company Danube.

Under the banner “Stop renting, Start owning” the Glanz development will see 418 studio, one and two bedroom apartments all featuring the company’s trademark “two rooms in one” design.

This features a bed which retracts into the wall during the day turning a bedroom into a living room. So as well as studio’s changing use, one bedroom apartments become two and two become three.

Design work was undertaken by a consultancy called Edmac – which stands for Engineer for Design, Management, Architectural and Civil.  Prices start from $122,000 for a studio and completion is set for September 2018.

The amenities in Glamz Residence include landscaped gardens, grand lobby, children’s play areas, jogging track, tennis court, badminton court, barbeque deck, health club with steam room and sauna and swimming pool.

Rizwan Sajan, founder and chairman, Danube Group said, “We are delighted to announce the launch of Glamz Residence with an aim to encourage people to ‘stop renting and start owning’. Once again, we have no doubts in our mind about the support and trust of customers- who deserve more for less without compromising on quality.

“When we started back in 2014 with our properties division and introduced a new segment altogether- affordable housing, we knew it would gain popularity over a period of time however the enthusiasm we witnessed at the launch of each of our projects until now has been such an overwhelming affair; to an extent that it has become a source of inspiration to innovate further.

“There is a mandate in place from Dubai Municipality for affordable housing. At present there is no incentives in place for developers to undertake this sort of work as there is in Europe. But there is a market for affordable housing being created.”

Glamz is located next to Discovery Gardens; two minutes away from the proposed new Metro line and 10 minutes away from Al Maktoum International Airport and Dubai Expo 2020 site
