David Rockwell has launched a collection of home furnishing and hospitality fabrics for the Bangkok-based company, Jim Thompson.
Rockwell Group has had a long relationship working with Jim Thompson on customising Jim Thompson fabrics for many hospitality projects including Hotel Bel-Air, in Los Angeles, The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas, and many Nobu restaurants.
“We have had a long relationship working with Jim Thompson so it seemed like a natural step to collaborate on textiles,” said Rockwell, founder Rockwell Group.
“The Spotlight Collection really showcases Rockwell Group’s deep interest in the transformative effect of light and the use of natural materials, and texture. Offering a variety of designs, ranging from vibrant and colourful to textural and neutral, the patterns reflect our diversity in different projects.
“Jim Thompson has always been beloved for its rich details and exquisite craftsmanship – it was a wonderful opportunity to create a collection for their extraordinary legacy.”
The collaboration has led to The Spotlight Collection, a collection of fabrics that reflect Rockwell’s interest in the play of light and his appreciation for natural materials and textures in 12 patterns.
It comes in warm golden bronze mixes with silvery platinum hues and rich and bold colours such as teal, coral red and purple.
