DIDI launches women’s scholarship for young designers in partnership with Dubai Mall

Launched in collaboration with Dubai Mall, the Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI) has established a scholarship for young, aspiring female students.

Part of the ‘International Women’s Month at the Dubai Mall’ campaign, the scholarship is for four years, and was created to “empower women in design and innovation, allowing one aspiring young talent to change the face of design in the region,” read a statement from DIDI.

According to the statement, this is the first of its kind in the region, and the recipient will be announced this June.

The scholarship was revealed on 8 March, during the campaign’s firs installment of its ‘Women’s Talk’ series, where Sass Brown, the dean of DIDI, provided insights on the evolution of women within the design industry.
