Diyar Al Muharraq, as part of its CSR policy, sponsored an award for the fourth year to honour students of architecture and interior design at the University of Bahrain.
The ‘Architecture and Interior Design Final Graduation Project Awards’ is conducted by the civil engineering and architecture department of the college of engineering, University of Bahrain (UOB) -Isa Town, under the patronage of his Excellency Dr. Ebrahim Bin Mohammed Janahi, the president of UOB.
CEO, Aaref Hejres, who presented the awards said over the years, the students have produced really great designs, with every year showing improvement in the thinking and the quality of work.
“It is indeed a matter of pride to welcome a new batch of young engineers, architects and interior designers. For the last four years Diyar Al Muharraq has been a part of this initiative instituted by the University of Bahrain to reward the most creative ideas displayed in the graduating projects.
It is part of our mandate to encourage young minds to use their latent abilities and training to develop themselves to optimum levels. Youth are the future of our country and in their progress and development lies the progress of the nation. We look forward to support to these students and the University of Bahrain in the near future also.” said Hejres.
Diyar Al Muharraq is a private sector-built project that will accommodate over 100,000 people, and will be located on twelve man-made islands off the coast of Muharraq.
