dwp’s China megaproject breaks ground

A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Lilanz Creative Centre in Fujian, a mixed-use project designed by GCC firm dwp.

The 160,000m2 centre is set to be a hub of creativity and innovation in the region, and is dwp’s largest project in China.

In a speech at the ceremony, group CEO Brenton Mauriello, said: “What will rise from the ground around you will not be just another building in Jinjiang’s development. It will not just be another headquarters for one of China’s great industrial companies.

“This development will be much much more…It will be inspirational – a project that will stimulate creativity and innovation. It will be a symbol of the city for generations to come.”

The event was attended by around 1,000 guests, including top government officials. A video presentation of the project was also unveiled.
