Frank Gehry’s Hong Kong tower nears completion

A 12-storey residential tower designed by Frank Gehry is nearing completion in Hong Kong, as reported by CNN.

Developed by the Swire Group, the building is perched on a hill with a sweeping, unobstructed panorama of Hong Kong Island.

Named OPUS, the project will contain a dozen apartments – two with their own garden – ranging in size from 557 to 641 m2. Construction is slated for the first quarter of 2012.

Best known as the designer of the seminal Guggenheim museum in Bilbao, Pritzer Prize winner Gehry is also behind the upcoming Guggenheim Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island.
