Architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s former apartment in New York’s Plaza Hotel has gone on sale for $39.5 million.
The luxury flat was used by Wright when he was working on the city’s nearby Guggenheim Museum – one of his most famous creations.
The apartment is currently owned by a prominent media couple – but their main home is across the Hudson River in New Jersey.
The space was renovated in 2011 by Louis Lisboa of VL Architects and interior designer Susanna Maggard who redecorated it in a modern style. The living and dining rooms were extended and three additional bedrooms were created, one with its own private entry.
The condo has 13-foot ceilings and large windows that look out on the Guggenheim and Central Park. It also has access to the concierge, maid, and in-room dining services that are a part of the Plaza Hotel.
