A 73-floor tower in Los Angeles is building a transparent glass slide to hang off its exterior and inviting thrill-seekers to take a ride.
The “Skyslide” at the US Bank Tower, runs down from the 70th floor and hangs 305 meters above the pavement.
The slide is 14 meters long and ends to an outdoor platform at the 69th floor, according to the building’s owner, Singapore-based OUE Ltd.
The glass on the fully enclosed slide will be just 3.2 cm thick, the company said.
Tickets to the slide, which is part of a larger attraction called OUE Skyspace LA featuring an observation deck for visitors, will go on sale on March 18 and the ride is set to open in June.
