The third annual Cityscape Jeddah event was today inaugurated by its patron HRH Prince Misha’al bin Majed bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jeddah.
Organised by IIR Middle East and National Exhibitions Company (NEC), the show is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors from over 50 countries over the next three days.
“Saudi Arabia is being literally transformed and is witnessing the birth of some of the most ambitious economic and social engineering projects in the world,” said the organisers of Cityscape Jeddah.
“However, while there is no doubt that the Kingdom is enjoying the biggest real estate boom in the entire Middle East, the housing shortage is still one of the biggest challenges Saudi Arabia is facing. This will continue unless numerous affordable housing projects are not planned and executed,” the statement added.
One of the exhibitors at the event is real estate developer DAMAC, which is showcasing Al Jawharah Tower on the Jeddah Corniche, as well as other luxury projects. At 48 storeys, Al Jawharah will be one of the tallest towers in Jeddah and Saudi Arabia. Construction has reached the second podium level.
