Graffiti artists Os Gemeos decorate Brazil World Cup aircraft

The team plane Brazil will use during the upcoming FIFA World Cup tournament has been painted by graffiti artists Os Gemeos using 1,200 cans of spray paint.

The Sao Paolo-based designers have illustrated the Boeing 737 which will be used to transport the national team with pictures which they say reflect the country’s culture and inhabitants.

The paint work was undertaken with an aircraft hangar doubling as an art studio.

The details are rendered in artists’ signature style – elongated faces, quirky outfits, colourful skin and animated expressions.

From the tail to nose and the engines, the jet’s technological details and equipment are covered in the designs.

Os Gêmeos – Portuguese for The Twins –  are  Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo, artists and identical twin brothers.
