Dubai based dry lining specialist Gyproc has launched a lining system designed to prevent moisture and mould problems.
It is also said to improve indoor air quality in high humidity environments such as hospital treatment rooms, school locker rooms, gymnasiums and all types of wet areas.
The new Gyproc M2TECH system is built around Gyproc Moisture and Mould Resistant Board – a new gypsum plasterboard incorporating technology developed by a sister company in the United States.
A biocidal core additive protects against moisture penetration and the highest possible test rating to ASTM D 3273 and ASTM G 21, the industry standard tests for mould and fungal resistance.
To guarantee optimum performance, the new M2TECH system incorporates a special moisture and mould resistant taping and jointing specification.
Ideal for tiled areas, the Gyproc M2TECH system will accept tiled finishes up to 12.5mm thick or 32kg/m2 as standard, or heavier tile or marble cladding with additional support.
All components use the similar fixing and finishing techniques to standard plasterboard linings, so no additional skills are required.
