Hansgrohe expands in Middle East with record figures

Hansgrohe AG, manufacturer of bathroom fittings and showerheads, reported record figures for sales and earnings in 2010, which has encouraged them to open a new showroom in Saudi Arabia.

With offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Cyprus and a flagship store network across the region, Hansgrohe is working on projects including Masdar City in Abu Dhabi, Burj Khalifa in Dubai, Marina Towers in Beirut and the Clock Tower in Mecca.

“In spite of ongoing instability in underlying economic conditions, we recorded growth in all the regions in 2010 and set new records both for sales and earnings,” said Siegfried Gaensslen, CEO, Hansgrohe AG.


The company which recently celebrated its 110th anniversary, reported that 2010 sales grew 13.5% to €693 from €610 in 2009 and revenue rose 10% to €154 million from €140 million in 2009.

“At €693 million, total net sales for the last financial year were not only well above the previous year’s level, they also topped the previous all-time high of €668 million recorded in 2008. We’re obviously overjoyed,” added Gaensslen.

Hansgrohe will showcase new collections  at INDEX, the annual trade exhibition for the interior design and manufacturing industries, which takes place in Dubai during October 22-25, 2011.
