A hospitality, design and furniture conference was held at a trilogy of furniture trade events recently to discuss how the three industries can work together for future growth.
The organisers of the event were the International Furniture Fair Singapore 2012/29th ASEAN Furniture Show (IFFS/AFS 2012), Deco Asia 2012 and Hospitality Asia 2012.
Titled Hospitality.Design.Furniture CONVERGE Asia 2012, the conference saw more than 200 professionals from March 9 – 10, including developers, architects, designers, purchasers, retailers, manufacturers and hoteliers.
“The hospitality and design industry is going through unprecedented change, and we are very positive that this conference made it easier to explore untapped opportunities in the convergence of the three distinct yet related businesses of hospitality, design, and furniture,” said Clement Ng, business development director IFFS.
“Within these industries, we’ve witnessed significant cross application of ideas throughout the years, so we wanted to bring the complementary sectors together in a single pivotal location within a professional conference programme.”
At the IFFS conference an international panel of experts and industry leaders shared their insights on future trends and innovations during the two-day programme.
