Regional trade associations such as the Singapore Furniture Industries Council, Association of Furniture Manufacturers of India (AFMI) and Institute of Indian Interior Designers and Vietnam Chambers of Commerce & Industry have confirmed their support for the India International Furniture Fair.

The trade show will be held from November 16-18, 2011, at Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre, Mumbai.

“The India International Furniture Fair will be beneficial, not only for India’s high-end furniture importers and retailers to network and source for exciting furniture brands, but also for our local architects, interior designers and real estate developers to be exposed to a diverse range of innovative furniture designs,” said Anil Mathur, chairman, AFMI.

A wide range of exhibits, from residential to commercial furniture, occasional furniture and furnishings will be on display at the IIFF.

Besides extensive promotions in the Indian subcontinent, show highlights have also been planned to include a new-to-market product showcase and industry seminars on design trends and new product innovations.

60% of the exhibitors are at the country pavilions including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, Italy, the Philippines, Vietnam, China, Indonesia and the United States.

More than 5,000 visitors are expected to come to the show from all over India, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates.
