INFDEX 2011 to have international participation

INFDEX 2011 has announced a number of companies have signed up to be its sponsors, along with a number of international firms confirming their participation.

Qatar Expo Event Management, organisers of INFDEX, announced three more companies have signed up to support this year’s event as sponsors. Six international firms have also confirmed they will participate in the exhibition.

In addition to the sponsors announced previously, Colortek (Premium Sponsor), Istikbal (Supporting Sponsor), E-Sec (Supporting Sponsor) and Al-Misned Trading and Joinery (Presenting Sponsor), Azadea, Al Aqili Furnishings, and SKAFF have joined the exclusive list of event sponsors.


Azadea, the Middle East and North Africa’s franchise retailer will be a Support Sponsor. Azadea’s international brands include Paul, Columbus Coffee, Zara, Massimo Dutti among others.

Al Aqili Furnishings will support the event as a Premium Sponsor. Founded in Dubai in 1997, the company has expanded to add over 50 globally-recognised brands to its portfolio that includes everything needed for interior design solutions: flooring, fabrics, lighting, wall covering, and residential and office furniture.

SKAFF Group, suppliers of fabrics, will also be a Support Sponsor. Founded over 40 years ago, the company originally formed to distribute designer fabrics to the region. Four decades later, it has spread to become a fabrics wholesaler and self-design distributer. SKAFF Group has 10 outlets all over the Middle East, in addition to the USA and Singapore.

Exhibitors from Europe that will be participating in the event: Morgan and Company (France), Varangis (Greece), Babis Ligas (Greece), SGF (Italy), Ofide (Spain/Qatar), and Mantech Office System, a pan-European Brand.

“INFDEX 2011 will be even bigger and better than last year’s event,” said Georges Saliba, , chief operating officer, Qatar Expo.

“With our partners Messe Frankfurt, we have managed to attract a large and prestigious list of exhibitors. We also look forward to the attendance of Alberto Drudi from Italy, the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Urbino Pesaro,” he added.

The event allows global and Qatari companies to showcase their goods, services, and creativity, with products related to furniture and interior design, lighting, fabrics, textiles, and architecture to be displayed. INFDEX 2011 will take place from October 5-8 at the Doha Exhibition Centre.
