Construction Week has announced the date and venue of its annual Public Infrastructure UAE Conference. The event will take place on 5th March 2014 at the Grosvenor House Hotel at Dubai Marina.

The conference will bring together architects, government representatives, industry experts, and key contractors to take part in panel discussions, share case studies and hear from keynote speakers as they address the issues and opportunities in the year ahead within the UAE’s infrastructure build sector.

The day’s programme will include significant coverage and insight into the infrastructure requirements surrounding the recently won Expo 2020, looking at tourism and social infrastructure. It will also address transport infrastructure, covering roads, airports, ports, and the UAE’s new rail infrastructure.

“The UAE as a whole, and specifically Dubai in light of the Expo2020 win, has hard targets when it comes to developing and building its infrastructure. The Construction Week Public Infrastructure UAE Conference is designed to help the industry identify and address the issues and opportunities surrounding this development,” said Ian Stokes, Construction Week’s group publishing director.

The event will build on the success of last year’s conference, which attracted 16 high profile speakers and more than 130 government representatives, contractors, architects, engineers, consultants, developers and urban planners.

Feedback from speakers, sponsors and delegates was overwhelmingly positive following the event. “Construction Week events bring together a mix of key suppliers, contractors, consultants and clients from the industry. “ said Robert Hardy, director of the transport and planning division at Mott MacDonald.

“This latest event did not disappoint – there was a full house, interesting debate and some excellent and informative speakers.”

Amr A. Al-Nounou, senior projects manager at the Ministry of Public Works, said: “The venue, content, discussions and interaction were all good. I would highly recommend participating in the same conference in future to my firm and fellow employees who share the same interest.”

The Construction Week Public Infrastructure UAE Conference 2014 is expected to attract 150+ decision makers and purchasing influencers. Anyone wishing to get involved should contact mark.palmer@itp.com.
