Interior designers launch Dubai breakfast club

Mark Marin launches the interior designers breakfast club.

Mark Marin, of Mark Marin Design has launched a weekly breakfast club for interior designers at MAKE business hub and café in Dubai Marina.

The informal group includes Laura Bielecki, GAJ, Susanne Herbeck, Interior Motives, Maja Kozel, chief designer, Gemaco Interiors, Delfina Cortese, Woods Bagot and Eva Sieburg, Panasonic Middle East.

Marin came up with the idea because he used to hold a similar meet-up in his native Sydney, Australia.

“It’s a chance for interior designers to get together and socialise over coffee and get to know one another in an informal setting,” he said.

“There is no obligation to come every week it’s just as and when you want to come along and meet new people within the industry.”

The group meets every Friday at 11am at MAKE, first floor, Al Fattan House.

“I think it’s a great idea,” said Herbeck. “I’ve been in Dubai for five years and it’s great to meet more people from my industry. There doesn’t seem to be too many events like this where you can have an informal chat over eggs on toast and it’s not too early or late in the day so I still have time for my weekend.”
