German designers, Konstantin Grcic, will, for the first time, give a discussion at a design forum that runs concurrently with Interior Lifestyle China from October 12-15 at Shanghai Exhibition Centre.
“We are proud to have such an iconic product designer participate in our show this year,”said Nicolette Naumann, vice president, Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH.
“It’s exciting for us to commemorate the show’s fifth year anniversary with high quality designers as well as quality brands, which reinforces the need for a professional and international interior lifestyle products trade platform in China.“
With a career spanning nearly 20 years, Konstantin Grcic has developed furniture, products and lighting for a range of companies in the design field.
Many of his products have received international awards (a.o. Compasso d`Oro 2001) and form part of the permanent collections at museums including the Centre Georges Pompidou/Paris.
Grcic plans to lead a discussion on the design impact across several industry sectors with a particular focus on the China market.
Each year, a small group of international designers are invited to host a lecture as well exhibit some of their innovative design pieces at Interior Lifestyle China.
Exhibitors include WMF (Germany), Le Creuset (France), World Kitchen (US); kitchenware brand Guzzini (Italy); and tableware brand Iitalla (Finland).
Country and region pavilions with products made and designed in Germany, France, Italy, Hong Kong and Taiwan will be represented this year, covering 18,000m2 of exhibition space, a 12.5% increase in scale compared with the 2010 show.
