International recognition for Germany-based JOI-Design

JOI-Design has been recognised for its work in the international arena through a series of awards and commendations.

US-based Interior Design magazine has named the practice as one of the world’s most successful hospitality interior design specialists.

The publication’s annual survey celebrates the achievements of the top-earning design practices by ranking them according to the project fees they have received over a one-year period.

For the 2011 Hospitality Giants report, JOI-Design was placed in the 25th spot based upon its actual fee income from 1 July 2010 – 30 June 2011.

JOI-Design was also globally recognised through the invitation extended to Corinna Kretschmar-Joehnk, the practice’s co-managing director, to be a judge at the annual European Hotel DesignAwards, an international celebration of excellence in European hotel design and architecture.

As the only representative from Germany, Corinna participated in a jury formed of hospitality industry leaders who voted to choose Europe’s most outstanding hotel projects from the past year.
